Emberfall Saga
Emberfall Saga is the rare mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing itself down. Combat is turn-based, so you can pause and think, and the class system actually rewards planning your party instead of just hoarding the strongest units. I spent way too long tinkering with a mage-heavy setup before the game politely showed me why that was a bad idea.
The writing carried me further than I expected. Characters have quirks and grudges, and side quests occasionally loop back into the main story in clever ways. It's not Shakespeare, but it never felt like tapping through text just to reach the next fight.
Progression is generous. You unlock new regions at a steady pace and the difficulty ramps in a way that pushed me to experiment rather than grind. If you want a proper RPG you can play in bursts, this one holds up.
