About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where four friends argued about which games were worth the storage space on our phones. At some point we figured other people were probably having the same debates, so we turned the arguments into a website. Everything you read here comes from someone who actually installed the game and stuck with it.
We cover every genre because our tastes are all over the place. One of us lives inside strategy games, another only wants short arcade runs on the train. That mix keeps us honest — a puzzle fan can't quietly bump up a racing game just because it looks pretty.
We pick games a few ways: reader suggestions, stuff climbing the charts, and hidden things we stumble on while browsing. A game gets a full review only after we've played enough to have a real opinion, not just a first impression from the tutorial.
We're not tied to any studio or publisher. If a game is dull, we say so, and if a small unknown game surprises us, we happily shout about it.
Marek Novák — Marek has been reviewing mobile games for over a decade and still keeps three phones charged just to test everything. He has a soft spot for slow, thoughtful strategy games and terrible taste in racing titles.
